Money Saving Storage Tips
Learn the tricks of the trade and save BIG.
Many companies offer Discounts to get you to rent. Remember that you are a month to month Tenant. Your rent can be increased anytime for any amount. Before long you could be paying a lot more than you thought.
Our customers feel they receive an excellent value for all of the services we offer. They especially like that we guarantee your monthly rate will not increase for a full year in writing.
Beware- Most storage companies charge late fees 2 or even 3 times a month. They tend to be costly & excessive, as much as $75. Make sure you understand the "Late Fee Policy" before you rent to avoid getting ripped off.
Rent is due the 1st of each month, automated payment options are available. Just in case you are late, our fee is only $15.
Most storage facilities have small, inadequate (outdoor) loading areas, where cars and trucks compete for limited parking and elevator service. At any given time there might be dozens of customers who need access. How long are you willing to wait to load/off load?
Every Stop & Stor building has separate loading docks and an easy to use "customer direct drive thru building" weather-proof roadway. It means you'll be in and out fast, you'll save... Time and Money!
Why pay for a larger size room when the actual dimensions are smaller? You are being charged for hallway space and other common areas. Why pay for space you can't use?
Stop & Stor never charges for unused space. Our room sizes are measured true and are rounded to the next nearest whole size.
If you do not have access to a moving truck, you will probably need to rent one. Most storage facilities offer rental trucks to their customers for a fee. Why incur additional expenses?
At Stop & Stor, we provide our customers with a free pick-up service. Please call for more details.
In general, storage facilities are not responsible for your unit's contents. We recommend insuring the goods you intend to store. Insurance is usually available when you sign up. If the storage facility collects a premium from you - there's a good possibility that they have a financial interest in doing so. Many times your homeowner's or renter's insurance policy will cover your storage items at no extra charge. Check with your insurance provider.
Rent from a self-storage facility that has coded computer access, video surveillance, is well lit and has someone on the premises 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
